Adele's Literacy Library

Adele loves a good book. More than just a form of entertainment, she sees reading as a key to infinite possibilities. This is why it broke Adele's heart to see a middle school classmate of hers struggling to read elementary-level vocabulary. She founded "Adele's Literacy Library" to promote the importance of reading and to encourage and enable people of all ages to reap its countless benefits. To date, through her various fundraising endeavors, Adele has provided thousands of books and bookmarks to schools, daycares, hospitals, and charitable organizations such as the "Ronald McDonald House" and "Ryan's Run." Adele has involved herself with schools in her home state of New Jersey, encouraging them to participate in a number of reading programs (most recently inspiring students from a single elementary school, grades 1 through 4, to read over 4,000 books in one month's time). Outside of her locality, Adele's website, blogging efforts, and nationally aired public service announcements reach thousands more. As "Adele's Literacy Library" grows in scale, Adele is exploring further options to promote reading, and hopes to implement scholarship awards to participating students in the future.
